David Daleiden: Raid on My Apartment Was Like "1984"

By Rick Pearcey • April 26, 2016, 09:13 AM

Ben Johnson reports at LifeSiteNews:

At hundreds of rallies this weekend, speakers called for the defunding of Planned Parenthood and the exoneration of David Daleiden.

But at a protest in Sacramento on Saturday, Daleiden himself took the microphone and revealed new details of his court case, his goal, and the day that California agents raided his Orange County apartment to confiscate all his undercover footage of Planned Parenthood, including scenes that had never seen the light of day.

The 27-year-old investigator said the day that California Attorney General Kamala Harris sent agents to his doorstep "started out a day like any other . . . except like it was 1984."

Abortion Industry Already Dancing on Graves of Colorado Springs Shooting Victims

By Rick Pearcey • November 30, 2015, 08:47 AM

Thomas Lifson writes at American Thinker:

Ghoulish exploitation of the deaths and injuries inflicted in Colorado Springs last Friday was always in the cards. What else would you expect from a movement that specializes in death?

Even so, the speed and facility with which Robert Lewis Dear, Jr., a troubled man with many eccentricities (including listing himself as a female on his voter registration and living as a loner in Unabomber-like shacks), has been propagandized as a pro-life activist (a murderous pro-lifer only makes sense in leftist fever swamps) is startling.

"The narrative was already written," Lifson observes, "so that only hours after the shooting before anything at all was known about the shooter, the head of the industry’s trade association was blaming the videos produced by the Center for medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood officials laughing ands joking about all the money they make selling baby parts.

"Subsequently, the words 'no more baby parts' have been attributed to the alleged shooter, although the source of the quote is murky at best, and the public has been cautioned that Dear ranted about many subjects. But the canned narrative blaming the exposure of Planned Parenthood behavior is irresistible to the abortion-loving mass media, so that is what the public is hearing endlessly."

Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood Caught in a Lie to Congress

By Rick Pearcey • September 30, 2015, 11:18 AM

Yesterday, Planned Parenthood boss Cecile Richards told Rep. Mia Love of Utah, "We do not have mamogram machines at our health centers, and we've never stated that we did" (Youtube).

In contrast, Richards said the following on CNN in 2011: "If this bill [cutting off federal funding of Planned Parenthood] ever becomes law, millions of women are going to lose their healthcare access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning, you know, mamograms."

In this Youtube video, Planned Parenthood clinic staff from around the country say their clinics do not provide mamograms:

* Planned Parenthood of Georgetown: "We do not provide mamograms . . . . We don't deal with the health side of it so much."

* Mid-Town Facility, Indianapolis, Planned Parenthood: "We don't here."

* Washington, D.C., Planned Parenthood: "We do not offer, like, um, the mamogram."

* Atlanta, Ga., Planned Parenthood: "We do not."

* St. Louis, Planned Parenthood: "We don't."

* Perth, N.J., Planned Parenthood: "We don't do mamograms here."

* New York, N.Y., Planned Parenthood: "We don't offer mamograms."

* Burlington, Iowa, Planned Parenthood: "No."

* Lincoln, Nebraska, Planned Parenthood: "No, I'm sorry, we don't."

* Memphis, Tenn., Planned Parenthood: "No ma'am, we sure don't."

* Arizona Planned Parenthood: "We don't provide those services whatsoever."

Clearly, if Planned Parenhood does not provide mamograms or "those services whatsover," it follows that defunding Planned Parenthood will not put obtaining "those services" in jeopardy.

And yet, as noted earlier, Planned Parenthood's CEO Cecile Richards: "If this bill [cutting off federal funding of Planned Parenthood] ever becomes law, millions of women are going to lose their healthcare access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning, you know, mamograms" (see her declaration at the 2:16 mark of this video).

This is, again, the same Cecile Richards who yesterday told Congress, "We do not have mamogram machines at our health centers, and we've never stated that we did."

U.S. House Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood in Wake of Baby Parts Scandal

By Rick Pearcey • September 18, 2015, 02:27 PM

Dustin Siggins reports at LifeSiteNews.com:

The U.S. House of Representatives voted today to defund Planned Parenthood while legislators continue their investigation of allegations that the abortion giant is profiting from the sale of fetal body parts.

The bill would take the $235 million of savings and invest it into Federally Qualified Health Centers.

With three Republicans and two Democrats crossing the aisle, the final vote for H.R. 3134, the "Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015," was 241-187.

The bill would defund Planned Parenthood while Congress investigates whether it has violated federal fetal harvesting laws, as well as partial-birth abortion and abortion modification laws.

"Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, said in a statement that the vote was 'about continuing the process to protect our most vulnerable'," according to LifeSiteNews.

"The bill was one of two pro-life bills passed by the House today. The other was H.R. 3504, the 'Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,' which makes killing a baby born due to a botched abortion first-degree murder," LifeSiteNews reports.

"Neither bill is expected to pass the Senate, which has garnered frustration among many pro-life leaders," LifeSiteNew states.

Office Depot Refuses to Print Copies of Pro-Life Prayer for Planned Parenthood

By Rick Pearcey • September 11, 2015, 02:23 PM

Susan Berry reports at Breitbart.com:

Office Depot has refused to print copies of a pro-life prayer on the grounds that to do so violates company policy of printing material that "advocates the persecution of people who support abortion rights."

"Karen Denning of Office Depot defended her company’s refusal to make copies of the prayer, stating that company policy forbids 'the copying of any type of material that advocates any form of racial or religious discrimination or the persecution of certain groups of people'," Berry reports.

Office Depot "also prohibits copying any type of copyrighted material," Denning added, according to Berry. "The flier contained material that advocates the persecution of people who support abortion rights," Breitbart quotes Denning as saying.

Comment: In my view, if Office Depot wants to go on record as supporting the documented fascist inhumanity of Planned Parenthood, that is Office Depot's ill-advised decision to make.

Office Depot should not be legally attacked for this policy -- this is their business and their property.

But people who support the humanity and dignity of human beings -- red and yellow, black and white, including the diversity and dignity of preborn human beings -- have every right to take their business elsewhere.

In addition, pro-humanity activist groups would do well to educate Office Depot on the corporate inhumanity of their policies in regard to Planned Parenthood. We in the Pearcey household will look to humanity-affirming alternatives so long as Office Depot enables this kind of gross inhumanity.

Let me be clear: So that love, truth, and humanness might grow, evil should be discriminated against -- indeed, evil must be discriminated against.

I hope Office Depot sees the light of day soon. Bravo to those individuals or groups who help that happy day come to pass.

Reactionary Satanists "Waterboard" Women in Planned Parenthood Counter-Protest

By Rick Pearcey • August 24, 2015, 11:59 AM

Barbara Boland reports at the Washington Examiner:

Satan worshipers launched a counter-protest against pro-lifers outside the Detriot and Ferndale, Michigan, Planned Parenthood locations Saturday.

Clad in black robes, members of the Satanic Temple of Detriot drenched bound women with milk, simulating water-boarding to "illustrate the theocratic agenda imposed upon female bodies." The milk symbolized breast milk, one of the protest organizers explained on Facebook.

The group attached a symbol of their temple to the American flag and held up a sign that read, "America is not a theocracy. End forced motherhood."

Unfortunately for this Satanic propaganda campaign, the fact is that America is a nation rooted in a verifiable, knowable Creator who welcomes questions ("test everything") and has endowed human beings with "unalienable rights," among them the rights to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," the anti-Satanist Declaration of Independence states.

"Members of the Satanic Temple drew inspiration for their 'political theatre' from the nationwide anti-Planned Parenthood protests Saturday," the Examiner reports. "Tens of thousands showed up to protest Planned Parenthood at over 300 locations across the country after a series of undercover videos revealed the abortion giant was harvesting and selling fetal organs and tissue," according to the Examiner.

"The pro-life protesters hope to end Federal taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, which currently receives over half a billion dollars per year. Michigan state senators, some of whom appeared at the protests Saturday, have launched their own bill to defund the organization," the Examiner reports.

"The Satanic Temple strongly opposes the promotion of misinformation and believes that all people are entitled to make informed decisions about their health, family and future without coercion," the Examiner quotes the group's website as as saying.

Satanists "consider our action a form of worship; the rejection of tyranny is an affirmation of selfhood. So long as perverted theocratic systems of power attempt to manipulate our communities and distort truths for political gain, we will rebel," the Satanist website also states, according to the Examiner.

"Satan worshipers believe that 'Satan is representative of the eternal rebel, enlightened inquiry and personal freedom,' proclaims the Satanic Temple's web site," the Examiner reports.

The Satanist position faces several difficulties, let us say. "Eternal rebel"? Not quite, because Satan is a creature and therefore is not the "eternal" anything.

"Rebel"? OK, but against what? Well, against what truly is enlightened inquiry -- to be more precise, enlightened inquiry into the inhumanity of Planned Parenthood's murdering of pre-born human beings and harvesting their body parts for profit.

Actually, these Satanist folks are reactionaries -- relying on ignorance and sloganeering to deny, among other things, the "personal freedom" of innocent human life. After, one cannot practice "personal freedom" if one is killed in the womb.

Instead of anti-science Satanism and its reactionary superstitions, far better to embrace knowledge, wisdom, ethics, and humanity living in liberating community with God and neighbor. That is a vision for humanness and freedom.

By the way, I'm all for "eternal rebellion" if that means resisting and overcoming any dehumanizing idol (like Satan, for example) that rises up in opposition to the good, the true, and the beautiful.

As I have written elsewhere: "There is a sense in which" human beings are in fact "hardwired to rebel -- not against good, but against evil. Not against life in community with our Creator and our neighbor, but agains that which, if not resisted, alienates us from the good, the true, and the beautiful -- including freedom. So of course a creature destine for freedom is a creature of resistance against tyranny, and so the founders in the Declaration affirm the 'right' and 'duty' to 'throw off' a government has as it 'direct object . . . the establishment of an absolute tyranny'."

And while we're at, let's throw off the unenlightened reactionary superstitions of Satanic propaganda. Saving the "least of these" from an experience far worse than water-boarding is on the right side both history and humanity. If the Satanists are upset, you might be doing something right.

Why "Progessives" Are Wrong to Revere Racist Margaret Sanger

By Rick Pearcey • August 21, 2015, 11:02 AM

"Margaret Sanger is a saint in the feminist church," writes political science professor Paul Kengor. "She is a charter member of the progressive hall of fame. Liberals revere this woman who preached "race improvement" and denounced what she called "human weeds."

Down the Memory Hole? Question About Jeb Bush's Planned Parenthood Funding Disappears From Debate Transcripts

By Rick Pearcey • August 10, 2015, 02:42 PM

Ben Johnson reports at LifeSiteNews.com:

Journalists have long refused to report the negative side of the abortion industry. Now, the mainstream media have been accused of going one step further: removing mentions of Planned Parenthood funding from the transcripts of the first Republican presidential debate.

Megyn Kelly asked Jeb Bush a probing question about his decision to serve nearly five years on a philanthropy that gave millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood, during the Fox News Channel's prime time debate on Thursday. Yet all trace of that question has disappeared from numerous "full" debate transcripts posted by the nation's foremost media websites.

"Jeb Bush served as a founding director of the Bloomberg Family Foundation (now known as the Bloomberg Philanthropies) from 2010 until the end of 2014. While he was responsible for providing oversight, the tax-exempt foundation announced a $50 million family planning grant that included a global partnership with Planned Parenthood to overturn pro-life laws around the world," LifeSiteNews reports.

Kelly asked Bush: "How could you not know about these well-publicized donations? And if you did know, how could you help a charity so openly committed to abortion rights?"

Rather than answer Kelly's question, "Bush responded by speaking about his pro-life record as governor of Florida," Johnson reports for LifeSiteNews. And "when asked a second time, Bush replied, 'I didn’t know, but it doesn’t matter',"

But, of course, it does matter.

"Last Friday night, several members of a voters panel told Kelly that they did not believe Bush was telling the truth about not knowing about the grants," LifeSiteNews reports.

In addition, according to LifeSiteNews, one person on the panel "said that if Jeb did not know, it was a major oversight." Another panelist said Bush "flat-out lied," LifeSiteNews reports.

And yet, "despite the audience's reaction and two days of sustained coverage on Fox, the question does not appear in debate transcripts posted online by The Washington Post, CBS News, and Time magazine," LifeSiteNews reports.

New Planned P'hood Transcript: Nurse Admits "It's Fun" to Dissect Dead Babies

By Rick Pearcey • August 4, 2015, 04:13 PM

Blake Neff reports at the Daily Caller:

The transcript accompanying the latest undercover Planned Parenthood video has an employee of the group admit she finds it "fun" to dissect fetuses for their organs and would "enjoy" the opportunity to do it on behalf of fetal tissue purchasers.

The exchange isn’t included in the 15-minute edited video released Tuesday by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), but is instead buried deep in the 119-page transcript accompanying it (a full-footage version of the video hasn’t been released yet).

In the exchange, Melissa Farrell, director of research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, admits she and her co-worker would find it enjoyable if a tissue buyer wanted them to dissect dead fetuses for parts.

"It would be exciting too if you needed it dissected, because LaShonda and I are the most Curious George of the group," Farrell is quoted as saying. "I know it’s sickening on some level, but it’s fun."

Hillary Reverses Course: I Proudly Stand With Planned Parenthood

By Rick Pearcey • July 31, 2015, 11:12 AM

Katie Pavlich writes:

On Wednesday, Democratic presidential candidate Hilllary Clinton expressed concern over new undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood doctors haggling over the price of aborted baby parts

“I have seen pictures from them and obviously find them disturbing," Clinton said in an interview with The New Hampshire Union Leader.

But just 24-hours later, Clinton has changed course, saying last night that she proudly stands by and supports the abortion giant.

"According to the Washington Free Beacon, the daughter of Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards is working for the Clinton campaign," Pavlich writes.

Ben Carson on Planned Parenthood: "Same People Who Say It's a Meaningless Clump of Cells Are Trying to Get Livers"

By Rick Pearcey • July 29, 2015, 10:39 AM

Craig Millward reports at CNSNews.com:

At a rally to defund Planned Parenthood on Capitol Hill Tuesday, GOP presidential candidate and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson criticized  Planned Parenthood, calling it "hypocritical" that "these same people who say that it's a meaningless clump of cells are trying to get livers and lungs and kidneys."

"Well isn't it funny that these same people who say that it's a meaningless clump of cells are trying to get livers and lungs and kidneys, because how could you have such organs from a meaningless clump of cells," Carson said, according to CNSNews.

"Carson was speaking at a rally organized by Women Betrayed, a project of Students for Life of America and Pro-Life Future, to call for an investigation into Planned Parenthood as well as defunding them. The Capitol Hill rally was one of more than 60 rallies across the nation organized by Women Betrayed," CNS reports.

"I think we have gradually slid in terms of our morals to a point where we don't really care about the killing of human beings," Carson is quoted as saying.

"That is the bad news. The good news is that I think we are changing, and I think things like this are starting to change us a lot. There are actually more people now who identify as pro-life than people who identify as pro-death, and we are capable of changing.

"There was a time in this country when people thought it was okay to own other people, and they thought they could do anything they want with them, because they belong to me. I can beat them, I can kill them, I can do whatever I want to do to them, and we fortunately, as a society matured and began to think about what the words of our Declaration of Independence and the words of our Constitution actually meant," Carson said, according to CNSNews.

"Well those words are meaningful today too," Carson explained, "because they talk about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Well guess what. There can be no liberty and pursuit of happiness if there is no life."

Remove Our Names: "Corporate Donors" Flee Sickening Planned Parenthood -- Coca Cola, Ford, Xerox

By Rick Pearcey • July 24, 2015, 07:24 AM

Chelsea Scism reports at Daily Signal:

Representatives from Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Co. and Xerox say they’ve asked Planned Parenthood to remove their names as corporate donors to the embattled organization.

The move follows a Daily Signal report revealing the names of 41 companies that Planned Parenthood listed as donors. That list, which was featured on Planned Parenthood’s website, has since been removed.

"This latest development comes in the wake of two undercover videos that showed Planned Parenthood executives talking about the sale of fetal body parts. Planned Parenthood is facing both federal and state investigations -- and the possibility of losing taxpayer funding," the Daily Signal states.

"Earlier this week, The Daily Signal used information from 2nd Vote to publish the names of 41 companies listed by Planned Parenthood as contributor," the Signal reports. "Shortly after the story was published, representatives from Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Co. and Xerox contacted The Daily Signal to say they were erroneously listed and requested that Planned Parenthood take them off its website."

Texas Deprives Planned Parenthood of $1.2 Million a Year in Taxpayer Funding

By Rick Pearcey • June 1, 2015, 04:45 PM

Fr. Mark Hodges reports at LifeSiteNews:

Texas legislators have deprived Planned Parenthood of an estimated $1.2 million of taxpayer funds a year by removing the nation's largest abortion provider from a program that provides women with cancer screenings.

"Many feel very strongly that the facilities receiving funding should not be facilities that are performing abortions," said Sen. Jane Nelson, chair of the Senate Committee on Finance. "So, the answer is: Don't perform abortions and you get the money."

"Updated budget language removes Planned Parenthood from the Breast and Cervical Cancer Services (BCCS) program by stipulating that providers must be eligible for the Texas Women's Health Program," according to LifeSiteNews.
