Boehner: Ted Cruz "Lucifer in the Flesh"
Thus the D.C. Establishment hates Cruz but is "texting buddies" with Trump.
Of the two GOP presidential hopefuls, therefore, which one is more likely to smite the heart of darkness on Capitol Hill?

"House Speaker John Boehner reportedly told Republican House members this morning that he intends to resign as speaker and vacate his seat in the House next month," CNSNews.com reports.
At Politico:
Something has changed for John Boehner.
Figures in his close-knit circle of allies are starting to privately wonder whether he can survive an all-but-certain floor vote this fall to remain speaker of the House.
And, for the first time, many top aides and lawmakers in the House do not believe he will run for another term as House leader in 2017.
The Boehner era might be coming to an end, they say.

Tea Party to Boehner: Your Time Is Up
Daniel Horowitz writes at Conservative Review:
For those of you perplexed by the flaccid leadership qualities of Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), there appears to be a method to their madness.

Maybe that will slow down the pace of his effort to transform America.
Earlier this week, McConnell publicly surrendered on not one, but two significant issues: raising the debt ceiling and confirming Loretta Lynch as Attorney General.

Report: Boehner Cut Deal With Pelosi to Use Netanyahu Speech as Cover to Fund Obama's Executive Amnesty
Matthew Boyle reports at Breitbart:
A new bombshell report from Politico found that House Speaker John Boehner had several days of secret negotiations with Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi . . . leading up to his decision to flip-flop and fund President Obama’s executive amnesty -- including a pre-hashed out deal to use the hoopla around Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Tuesday address to Congress over Iran’s nuclear ambitions as political cover to sneak in the extraordinarily controversial vote.
"Even with the bombshell report, however, Boehner’s office continues to deny any deal took place," according to Breitbart.
