When "Voting Your Conscience" Is an Ethical and Inhumane Disaster
Some people seem to think that "voting my conscience" absolves them of their ethical responsibility regarding the on-the-ground reality their votes help create after this election.
But merely "voting your conscience" is truncated ethical voting -- a form of privatized spirituality more Greek and secular than Judeo-Christian and humane.
In addition, going 3rd party in Election 2016 potentially enables into vast power a Hillary Clinton -- a well-practiced destroyer of foundations. You can see the the problem.
"Voting my conscience" is useless if not outright dangerous if it does not include love of neighbor within its scope of application.
Go ahead. Swing at Trump. Be alerted, however: Your neighbors may well be a bit upset if your swing at Trump ends up hitting their families.
Which is what will happen if "conscience" voters elevate a wrecker like Clinton to the most powerful elected political office in the world.
