Panic Buttons and Shotgun Give-Aways: New Moves in Self-Defense
PANIC BUTTONS: "Marietta Public Schools have added 'panic buttons' to its schools in response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.," according to CBS-Atlanta. "WGCL-TV reports that these 'panic buttons' will immediately place a call to 911 when pushed by school officials."
SHOTGUNS: A Houston group is "giving Away Shotguns in High-Crime Neighborhoods to Test If Crime Is Reduced," reports CBS-Houston. "A University of Houston graduate student [named Kyle Coplen] says he’s conducting a study to hopefully answer the question being asked across the country, 'Do more guns reduce crime or not?'"
